University Banner
The official university banner, located at the top of this site, is
intended to create a more uniform campus identity for every administrative
website. The banner should be used as is.
How To Apply The Banner
Place the following code immediately after the <BODY> of your site. Your
site may have special circumstances that will require you to modify some of the
code that generates your site. If you run into problems that we have not identified
here, please let us know by email at webdev@csusb.edu
| <iframe src ="http://www.csusb.edu/banner2007" width="100%" frameborder="0"
height="90" scrolling="No" title="CSUSB banner"> <p>If you can see this text, your browser does not support iframes. <a href="http://www.csusb.edu/banner2007">Follow this link to view the content of this inline frame</a> within your browser.</p> </iframe> |
How It Works
The banner is one of a kind. It utilizes the <IFRAME> functionality because
of its browser compatibility. When applied properly, updates to the banner
can be made without webmasters being involved. For this reason the banner should
not be modified.
How It Should Be Used
The banner is intended to look the same on every site – as
a header that clearly identifies CSUSB, and allows visitors to
easily navigate to some of the most important campus resources.
It should stretch across the entire length of a visitor’s
browser window, leaving no visible space on the top, left and
right side. Your site should be centered underneath.
What About Accessibility?
The banner comes with a skip function that allows visitors an
opportunity to jump from the beginning of the banner to the
end. This function, however, does not replace your site’s
need for skip navigation. If your site includes repetitive
navigation, you must include a link that skips directly to
the content area of your site. Information on how to implement
such a function is located in the Web Accessibility section
of our site, under Checkpoint
O.
