Design

Though we’re rarely asked to design a site without also building it, we do offer the services of our web and graphic designers to create graphics for your site. Whether it’s a banner, or a complete template, our designers will work with you to achieve your visual needs.

Free consultation on web design is available for anyone, whether you’re just brainstorming or have definite ideas of what you’d like your site to look like. We apply well-established design, layout and usability standards to all our sites.

Web Site Development

Site development includes everything from creating an outline, designing a unique template, and building each page with the content you provide.

We will guide you through our Web Site Development Process, which includes 7 easy steps for designing a new site or redesigning a current one. We’ll discuss your audience, the purpose of your site, and the personality your site should project. We’ll work with you to draft an outline, which reflects all the areas and sub-areas for which you’ll need to create content. Once the outline is approved, we’ll develop a prototype for you to critique before we construct your site and make it live.

Site Hosting

Our hosting services are simple. We’ll host your site on a secure server, with all the protections that stem from storing your files in the temperature-controlled server room, maintained by Data Center Services (DCS). All servers within this room are monitored 24-hours a day, connected to a powerful backup system (in case the electricity goes out), and updated with the latest security patches.

Hosting requirements and restrictions:

All sites hosted by ACM must use the official campus logo and fall within the acceptable use policy, set forth by Public Affairs.

ACM cannot host sites for student organizations or clubs

We are unable to provide certain domain names (i.e. .org, .com)

Upon initial upload, a web site must be 100% accessible
