Delivering instruction to site-bound and distant students using advanced technologies has become increasingly popular. ACM staff supports and maintains Distance Learning classrooms and computer labs. These classrooms are fully equipped with two-way video conferencing equipment and are connected to CENIC, the CSU systemwide network. Classes scheduled in these rooms support instruction in comparable rooms at off-site locations. In addition to instructional support, these facilities are available for teleconferencing, Compressed Video and satellite downlinks. Our staff also serves as a community resource for distance learning and teleconferencing questions.
Our support for distance learning includes Web-based instruction. We offer the flexibility of placing an entire course on the Internet or simply offering course information and communication tools. We provide instructional design support for faculty interested in integrating technology into their curriculum and access to Blackboard.
