Providing Access to Computing Resources that Empower People with Disabilities
The Assistive Computing Resource Center (ACRC) is a self-instructional computer lab available exclusively to students with disabilities. All students who utilize the ACRC must be registered with SSD and complete an intake form upon their first visit to our lab. The ACRC provides training and support in various assistive technology software programs. In addition to the services and support provided to students, the ACRC also works closely with clients of California Department of Rehabilitation and Veteran's Affairs Visual Impairment Services (VIST) program. For more information regarding our partnerships with these programs, please utilize the navigation links to the left. ACRC also provides assistive software services to faculty and staff on campus.
Mission Statement:
The ACRC provides services that empower people with disabilities through access to computing resources. Our services help bridge the gap between an individual's needs and available technology. We provide individualized support and assistance to persons with disabilities and facilitate access to standard computing environments.
