Company Description:

The Student Technician Program (STP), hires and trains students for some of the most technically advanced and in-demand positions available at CSUSB. With over sixty students employed, STP is the largest signle department of student workers with constant openings. The Student Technician Program supports the Department of Academic Computing and Media (ACM), providing access to student jobs in network services, photography, graphic design, lab services, a range of computer support, digital imaging, assistive technology and various other technology related fields. The program is designed to assure students both technical and professional resume building, with a cadre of proven skill.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a working knowledge of non-linear editing techniques and be familiar with Final Cut Pro. Applicants must be able to ingest video, have good judgement in the edits to make, create graphics, overlay graphics and export a final product to DVD and Mini DV. Applicants must also know how to operate a video camera, have some experience shooting video and understand the best practices for shooting video. Applicants must also posses good organizational skills, pay attention to detail, have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment. Experience with audio editing a plus.

Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Academic Computing & Media, the incumbent will provide video editing and production support for television / video programs for ACM. Incumbent will work closely with students and faculty from the communications department and staff from the department of Academic Computing & Media.
