Special Events A/V Technician
$7.50 - $8.25 per hour
ACM facilities will be the base of operations for events that occur all over the campus, and occasionally off-campus.
- Must have a desire to learn about audio and video systems in a presentation environment on professional equipment
- Must be professional in appearance, as well as with presentation of work, in interactions with dignitaries and celebrities
- Knowledge of audio equipment, gain structure, microphone selection, and video presentation equipment is a plus
- Have an understanding of the policies of STP, its purpose, and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Candidate will assist in setting up audio, video, and other media related equipment for campus events.
- May run or monitor equipment as required. (Candidate may be asked to set up, operate, and tear down events without assistance.)
- Must work as a team member with other University Staff to produce the best events possible.
STP Area Supervisor, ACM Special Events Coordinator, and other ACM staff as directed.
Performance evaluation is done by the STP Area Supervisor in conjunction with Area Staff.
After a period of service, the Special Events A/V Technician is eligible to move within STP positions; these moves could include supervisor, highly-technical or managerial positions.
