Desktop Computer w/ CD/DVD and Zip Drive
The computer is located inside the podium cabinet on the lower righthand side. Turn on the power button located on the computer. Select RGB on the remote located in the drawer on the podium. For sound select PC on the receiver located in the black metal cabinet in the corner of the room. Note: You must have a password to access the computer. Use the numeric keyboard to enter the password.

The podium contains the following equipment:
Receiver (Controls the output source and its volume)
Desktop Computer (Dell)
Switch box (for projecting a PC or Laptop)
Dual Cassette Player
DVD/VCR Combo
Shure Mic Receiver (Controls the microphone's power and volume)
Laptop
(not included in classroom)
VIEW EXAMPLE
To use your laptop, connect the VGA Cable located on the top of the podium to the back of your laptop. Note: You must select the button labeled LAPTOP on the small control box located on top of the computer (CPU), located inside the lower right side of the podium cabinet.
Sound Adjustments
For sound source selection and volume control, use the TEAC receiver which is in the podium.
Light Controls
Controls for all the lights are left of the white board. The lights are clearly labeled. 
Screen Controls
The switch to lower and raise the large screen is on the wall to the left of the white board. The switch is labeled SCREEN.
Wireless Microphone

To use the MIC, be sure to turn both the MIC to ON and the POWER to ON. You must also turn on the Shure unit inside the podium cabinet, on the righthand side. It may already be on. If not, the power switch is labeled, along with the volume knob. Uses a 9 volt battery.
Dual Cassette Player
To use the Cassette player, select TAPE on the receiver inside the podium cabinet on the righthand side.
DVD/VCR Combo Player
To use the VCR insert the VHS tape into the unit and press "play" select VCR on the TEAC receiver and select Video on the remote. Note: If you hear a noise from the VCR, use the tracking adjustment or channel up/down to rid of it.
Overhead Transparency Projector
The overhead is located in front of the classroom.
Slide Projector
There are 2 slide projectors located in the rear of the classroom, inside the projection booth. To use the slide projectors, use the AMX remote located in the podium drawer or in the booth in the back of the classroom. Keys for the booth can be obtained from your department office.

To use the Video projector, use the Proxima remote which is in top drawer of the podium. Turn it on or off by holding down the green button. It takes a few minutes for the projector to warm up. Press the same green button to turn off the projector. You must hold down the button for 2 or 3 seconds before it will completely shut off. Afterwards you may still hear the fan blowing inside the unit. This is normal.
Assistive Technology
Assistive Hearing devices and microphones are available to students who are hearing impaired. Please tell your students that they can check out a device from Services to Students with Disabilities in University Hall (UH-183).
