Job Position Name: Assistant Photographer

Wage Range: Starting at $8.75 per hour

ACM Service Area Overview:

ACM offers photographic support for any campus-sponsored events that require promotional or archival imaging. The photographer can help develop digital images that are appropriate for Web, print, or archival purposes. The photographer assists in the production of CD ROMs that showcase the event.

Qualifications:

Candidates will have the following experience, skills, interests, and abilities:

• Knowledge of basic digital photography and photo editing techniques
• Must be professional in appearance, as well as with presentation of work
• Present portfolio of previous work
• Have an understanding of the policies of STP, its purpose, and goals.
  

Preferences:

• Experience with the Canon brand digital camera
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and graphical layouts
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as solo assignments
  

Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Working with digital images on Mac-based systems including organizing, editing, toning, captioning, transmitting, etc.
• Archiving digital images
• Assisting ACM Photography Staff on photo shoots
• Work with clients of photography services
• Work as a team with other campus departments
• Be able to meet deadlines
  

STP Area Supervisor and ACM Photographer.

Performance evaluation is done by the STP Area Supervisor in conjunction with Area Staff.

Career Path:

After a period of service, the Assistant Photographer is eligible to move within other STP positions; this move could include managerial position.
