Wage Ranges: $8.75 - $9.50 per hour

ACM Service Area Overview:

The graphics team creates professional Web page designs and departmental information, and can provide expert assistance and support. Faculty interested in developing technology-based instruction works closely with multimedia specialists (e.g. graphic designers, photographers and Web developers). These services include developing course-related interactive CD ROMs and Web pages, as well as creating other digital imagery. In addition, the graphics team provides professional quality academic and promotional video production services, videotaping, and archiving of campus events.

Qualifications:

• Must have basic experience with graphic design applications (i.e. Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Freehand)
• Have an understanding of the policies of STP, its purpose, and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working under general supervision, candidates will work with ACM Graphic Design team to create designs for print and web applications for a variety of purposes. The Graphic Artist may occasionally work with campus faculty and staff to assess and fulfill design needs.

Reports to:

STP Area Supervisor, ACM Graphic and Multimedia Designer, and ACM Instructional Media Developer.

Evaluation:

Performance evaluation is done by the STP Area Supervisor in conjunction with Area Staff.

Career Path:

After a period of service, the Graphic Artist is eligible to move laterally into other STP position; this move could includemanagerial position.
