"Wireless Printing" allows allows students and others with wireless-enabled laptops to print from anywhere on-campus, and pick them up in the ACM and JB computer labs.
Wireless Printing Requirements
- An on-campus email account (to log onto the CSUSB wireless network)
- A laptop running Windows XP or Mac OS X (*May be available for other Operating Systems and devices)
- Wireless Capability (the most important part!)

Adding the "Wireless Printer": XP, OSX
Instructions are shown below, and posted in various
locations throughout the ACM Computer Labs.
Adding the Wireless Printer (PC - Windows XP)
- Logon to the CSUSB Wireless Network using your CSUSB email username and password ("Guest" login does not have access to Wireless Printing)
- Find and select the option to "Add a Printer:":"
- Select "Network," and click "Next"
- Type in Printer Name:
\\acm1104print.csusb.edu\LAB1104HOLDBW
- Click "Next"
- Decide if you want this to be your default printer, (Yes or No)
- Click "Finish"
- Send a test print. If you do not receive an error message, you have successfully connected. If you receive an error message, or have difficulty adding the printer, please contact an on-duty ACM Computer Lab Technician for assistance.
Adding the Wireless Printer (Macintosh - OS X)
- Logon to the CSUSB Wireless Network
- To "Add a Printer":
- Open "OS X Print Center" (10.2)
or
"Printer Setup Utility" (10.3,10.4)
- Click "Add Printer"
- Select "LRP Printers using IP (10.2) or "IP Printing" (10.3,10.4)
- Select or Enter the following:

| Printer Model: | HP LaserJet 1300 (the black & white printer)

- Send a test print. If you do not receive an error message, you have successfully connected. If you receive an error message, or have difficulty adding the printer, please contact an on-duty ACM Computer Lab Technician for assistance.
To identify your print jobs, you must know your computer's "Computer
Name" or IP Address. ACM Computer Labs are not responsible for documents
printed out by mistake. We welcome any feedback or suggestions
regarding our "Wireless/Laptop Printing"
